Landmark girls win seventh state cross country title

Landmark Christian School’s girls captured the Class A Private School state championship on Saturday. The Lady War Eagles have now won seven state titles in cross country. This is their second in a row.

Top runners for Landmark’s girls were: Kathryn Forman, 1st overall, 18:118; Lindy Long, 2, 18:40; Rachel Morley, 7, 20:27; Courtney Gilliam, 17, 21:17; Kaylin Deel, 30, 21:47; Taylor Biggar, 50, 22:51 and Rebecca Moody, 62, 23:17

The Landmark boys placed third. Their top runners were: Paul Orr, 9, 16:44; Austin Taylor, 21, 17:19; Brandon Regan, 37,17:52; Spencer Geerlings, 40,17:57; Daniel Wilson, 42, 18:02; Joe Humphries, 54, 18:23 and Austin Hoover, 92,19:27.

Our Lady of Mercy’s girls placed 14th. Their top runners were Pauline Cobb, 40, 22:12.61; Victoria Shurman, 51, 22:45.71; Leah Banks, 77, 23:44.54; Jaime Morgan, 87, 24:06.15 and Emma Dunphy, 92, 24:30.50.

Our Lady of Mercy’s John Raville placed third overall with a time of 16:26.35.
