Starr's Mill swim team places third at first meet of season

The Starr’s Mill swim team competed in their first meet of the season on Saturday, Nov. 10. They swam in the Wildcat Invitational at Lundquist Aquatic Center in Clayton County.

Seventeen teams competed at this meet. The SMHS Swim Team has 40 swimmers competing along with one manager this year. The boys finished in first place with 369 points. The girls finished in third place with 237 points. Overall the team finished in third place with a combined score of 606 points.

The next meet will be at Kedron Aquatic Center on November 16 vs. McIntosh High School at 5:30 p.m. Both teams will be participating in a food drive for families in need in Fayette and Coweta Counties through the Real Life Center.
  
The SMHS Swim Team school coaches are Rebecca Rickeard and, new this year, Ben Williams.  The community coaches are Anne Chrzanowski and Rick Potters.
