The area tournaments for wrestling took place last weekend and numerous local wrestlers will advance to the state sectionals this week.

In Class AAAAA, local wrestlers advancing to the state sectionals are:

103- Chris Eulenfield, McIntosh; Reid Loveless, Whitewater

113 - Logan Wesolowski, Whitewater

120 - Aaron Brewer, McIntosh; Jonathan Parrish, Starr’s Mill

126 - Zach Thorne, Whitewater

132 - Ryan Prescott, McIntosh; Max Sultan, Whitewater

138 - Austin Penland, Whitewater

145 - Austin Gilbert, Starr’s Mill; Alex Walker, Whitewater

152 - Francisco Obregon, Whitewater

170 - Barrett Martin, Whitewater

182 - Christian Winslett, Whitwater; Joey Kelly, McIntosh

195 - Luke Runyan, Starr’s Mill

220 - Dylan Davis, Whitewater; Garrett Sage, McIntosh

285 - Alex Ashley, Starr’s Mill; George Harris, Whitewater

Locals advancing to the AAAA sectionals are:

106: Caleb Sellers, Fayette County

113: Nick Martin, Sandy Creek

120 - Trei Johnson, Sandy Creek; Henry Sellers, Fayette County

126 - Cody McMillan, Fayette County

138 - Kershon Manciel, Fayette County

145 - Devyn Wash, Fayette County

152 - Raquand McDaniel, Sandy Creek,

170 - Kyle Leinberger, Fayette County

182 - Corey Cleveland, Fayette County

220 - Christian Ingalls, Fayette County

285 - Adam Fersh-Bolton, Fayette County

Landmark will send three wrestlers to the Class A sectionals: Payton Hayes (120), Caleb Cobb (132) and Titus Creamer (170).
