Local wrestlers do well at South Metro Invitational

Whitewater’s wrestling team placed sixth overall at the South Metro Invitational this past weekend. They had two weight class champions, Jacob Williamson and Chase Penland, while McIntosh had one, Rickey Oskey.

Local wrestlers who finished in the top six of their weight class for their respective schools were:

103 - Dell Reesl, Starr’s Mill, 6th

112 - Ali Khan, Fayette County, 2nd

119 - Joel Carnow, Fayette County, 2nd; Stephen Plante, Starr’s Mill, 5th

125 - Michael Escarra, Whitewater, 5th

130 - Alexander, Whitewater, 4th

135 - Austin Vorwald, Fayette County, 5th; Zack Smith, Sandy Creek, 6th

145 - Rickey Oskey, McIntosh, 1st, Levon Alls, Sandy Creek, 3rd

152 - Kenny Kellerman, Whitewater, 2nd; Dylan Tanner, Fayette County, 6th

160 - Julian Holmes, Sandy Creek, 2nd; Hearn, Starr’s Mill, 5th

171 - Jacob Williamson, Whitewater, 1st; Derek Wojcik, Sandy Creek, 2nd

189 - Chase Penland, Whitewater, 1st

215 - Patrick Blankenbeker, Fayette County, 3rd
