Softball teams near end of regular season

Whitewater’s Lady Wildcat varsity softball team (22-1) picked up a few more wins last week.

Currently ranked first in Class AAAA, Whitewater defeated McIntosh (9-1), Starr’s Mill (10-0), Kennesaw Mountain (5-2) and Brookwood (4-0). They hosted Northgate last night after the paper went to press.

Starr’s Mill met Sandy Creek on Monday and lost 9-2 in 10 innings. They will play at Fayette County today at 5:30 p.m.

Sandy Creek is currently on a three game winning streak. Prior to Monday’s win, the Lady Patriots defeated McIntosh (8-0) and Fayette County (8-1).

McIntosh hosted Fayette County last night after the paper went to press. They will play at Langston Hughes today at 5:30 p.m.
